Joscelyn + Matt | Mission Inn Resort – Howey-in-the-Hills, FL | Rudy & Marta Photography

I knew from the moment I sat down with Joscelyn and her mom, Kym, the next eleven months of planning were going to be so much fun! Joscelyn was the sweetest gal and Kym was a hoot! We laughed, we cried and we had so much fun planning Joselyn and Matt’s big day!

Mission Inn was the perfect venue for Joscelyn and Matt. They decided to tie the knott (see what I did there – Knott – as in Joscelyn’s last name) at Legends under the beautiful oak tree overlooking the golf course. With the sound of the fountain in the background, they had the most beautiful ceremony, led by their close family friend, Pastor Dan.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the terrace while the newlyweds captured beautiful photos with Rudy and Marta. (Note: if you have never met Rudy and Marta, they are also amazing! So sweet and so much fun to work with!)

Their reception was one of my favorites to date. It was absolutely stunning! We decided to get creative with their floor plan and do something that had not yet been done before. We set up the Bay Kings Band on one side of the ballroom and placed the dance floor in front of it. On the other side of the room, we set up a mix of long, family-style tables and round tables. It crated a very unique look for the space and I absolutely loved it! The long tables were lined with garland and the round tables had a mix of gold candelabras and shorter floral arrangements. Paired with navy lamour linen and accented with gold chargers, gold votives and gold chiavari chairs, their guests were sure to be wowed! Joselyn and Matt chose to have a sweetheart table and we picked my most favorite linen, gold sequins, to make it stand out from the rest!

Instead of just doing a wedding cake, they chose to do a smaller cake and desserts. This is also my favorite thing! Britt with Le Petit Sweet nailed it for sure (as she always does of course). Macaroons, cake pops, cookies and cupcakes surrounded their beautiful wedding cake. She also created a pretty sweet groom’s cake (a fish) for Matt who loved fishing! These delicious treats sat upon a table draped with a burgundy dupioni linen and accented with a navy sequin linen.

All of their guests enjoyed a delicious three course dinner and then danced the night away to amazing songs played by one of my favorite bands, the Bay Kings Band! We have worked with them numerous times and they never cease to amaze me!! Throughout the night, guests enjoyed cigars out on the terrace and were able to strike a pose in the photobooth.

The night ended with sparklers and the newlyweds were wicked away (by yours truly) on a golf cart! The day was absolutely beautiful and I was so happy to have been a part of it! Congrats Joselyn and Matt!
