Jill and Drew were married on a beautiful fall day at Postcard Inn on the Beach in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Postcard Inn is such a cute and quirky venue and is perfect for beach weddings! Jill was referred to me by a past bride of mine, who also happened to get married at Postcard Inn. She knew Jill and I would work well together and she was right! Jill was so organized and on top of things. She knew exactly how she wanted her big day to be and kept track of every single detail to ensure her vision came to life perfectly. All of that hard work and planning paid off because the day couldn’t have been more perfect!
The day started early with hair and makeup, breakfast munchies and mimosas. As the day progressed and vendors began to arrive, things started to become real! Jill and Drew chose to do a first look and if you have taken the time to read any of my other blogs, you know that I am a huge fan of first looks! Who wouldn’t want to be able to enjoy the day and not have to rush through pictures? After the first look, the bride and groom were able to snag some photos with their wedding party before getting tucked away before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place on the beach, with the beautiful ocean in the distance and the white sand glistening in the sun. Jill used Postcard Inn’s bamboo arch and had some amazing floral pieces added to it. I then tied some super cute nautical-inspired flags to each side and the arch created a perfect backdrop for the bride and groom! (Seriously – scroll down and look; it was beautiful!) Their ceremony was beautiful and it was filled with lots of smiling and laughter. Afterwards, the newlyweds got swept away to capture a few more pictures on the beach while guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the garden.
Their reception was held in the garden as well! The garden is centered in the middle of the hotel and comes to life at night with the soft glow of market lights and lanterns hanging in the trees. It is the most beautiful spot for an outdoor reception. Jill’s vision came to life thanks to the lovely ladies of 2Birds Events. Two different centerpieces were seen on the tables, full of lots of color and succulents! Chandeliers were hung in the trees along with a floral hoop. The cake was lined with navy and white striped ribbon and topped with more colorful flowers. Everything was so beautiful! During their first dance, live artist, Terry Klaaren, captured the moment on canvas. This was such a cool touch and it was so fun to watch him paint! The night continued with dinner, dancing and dessert and concluded on the beach with a bonfire! It was the perfect day for Jill and Drew and I was so happy to have been a part of it!

Katie’s favorite wedding details: Oh. My. Gosh. Jill’s bouquet was my absolute favorite! Also, the cake; I loved their cake. And the arch for the ceremony! (Heart eyes all around). I loved everything about this wedding; soooo pretty and sooooo colorful!
