I had so much fun working with Britt and Joe to plan their natural lakeside wedding at Mission Inn! They chose New Year’s Eve as their date and Mission Inn’s beautiful Marina del Rey as their venue! After meeting with them to discuss their ideas, I had the perfect vendor team in mind for them, so now it was just a matter of getting everyone on board for their big day!
For flowers, we chose Andie with The Flower Studio. I knew she would be the perfect florist for them. Her style is so fun and unique and since Joe had connections through his job, he was able to provide a wide variety of air plants and succulents for Andie to incorporate into her design. This was so neat and such a sweet way to really personalize their floral for their natural lakeside wedding! Andie knocked it out of the park. Everything from Britt’s bouquet to the arch at the ceremony to each table at the reception – everything was perfectly decorated and things couldn’t have been more beautiful!
For the cake, the original plan was to have a cheese cake. And not the type of cheese cake you may be thinking of. I mean, cheese, in block form. Cool right?!? Well, we soon realized this wasn’t going to work out as well as we thought, so we went a different route. We enlisted Britt with Le Petit Sweet in Mount Dora to create a beautiful naked wedding cake, which she does so very well. Joe then surprised his lovely bride with a custom mouse and cheese cake topper created by Britt of Le Petit. It was by far the cutest little cake topper I had ever set my eyes on!
Britt and Joe had Tabitha with Our DJ Rocks handle all of the tunes. If you haven’t met Tabitha before, you need to. She is the best! I absolutely love working with her and the entire Our DJ Rocks team! She kept the music going all night and everyone had a blast dancing the night away!
Toward the end of the reception, Kara (with Embrace by Kara) snuck the newlyweds outside for a little session with the sparklers. With it being New Year’s Eve, it only made sense! The pictures turned out so cute!
It was an absolute pleasure working with Britt and Joe and I wish we could do it all again! They were the sweetest and we had so much fun! Congrats you two!

Katie’s favorite wedding details / moments: I was obsessed with Britt’s bouquet. The Flower Studio nailed it!! I also loved how they did their fist look. Instead of the bride sneaking up behind the groom, they did it the opposite way. Britt positioned herself on this adorable path down by the lake and Joe followed it until he reached his bride. His reaction was priceless!
