You guys! Britt and Grady’s burgundy and blush plaid wedding at Far Reach Ranch was everything dreams are made of!! I can remember the day I met Britt. I was working at Mission Inn and she had just moved to Mount Dora to open up Le Petit Sweet. She came out to the resort with some delicious samples and we hit it off immediately! Little did I know that a few years later I would be coordinating her big day!
Britt is an incredibly creative person! When she told me she would be getting married at her “funcle’s” (fun + uncle = funcle) blueberry farm, I had no doubt in my mind it was going to be fabulous! We went out to the farm and walked around and it was so fun to hear all she had planned. They were going to transform the packing house and its surroundings into the perfect place for the big day!
The packing house itself would become a catering kitchen. The loading area would be the perfect stage for the dessert display and DJ. The covered space next to it is where all of the seating would be. Surrounding the packaging house were beautiful fields and of course blueberries! The ceremony would be held out in the field as the sun began to set. Afterwards guests would enjoy cocktail hour in front of the packing house. Following that, they would partake in a delicious family-style meal. Everything was planned out perfectly and I was so excited to see it all come together.
Remember when I said Britt was creative? Well here are just a few things her and Grady made for the big day. For the ceremony, a gorgeous arch was constructed from branches and anchored with bales of hay. Floral and greenery adorned the arch and gorgeous antique rug pulled the look together. It made for the most romantic backdrop for the ceremony! After the ceremony, we moved the hay and it became an archery course. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed beverages that were served from a bar made from an antique bed frame. The escort cards were pinned on a board and made to look like an archery target. There was even an arrow in the middle to make this already awesome display even more realistic.
All of the centerpieces were designed by Britt. She collected candlesticks, frames and vases during their engagement which made for a perfectly mismatched-vintage look and it was beautiful! Each table number was hand written by Britt and the menu cards were also designed by her. She even hand-dyed each cheese cloth table runner! One of my favorite details was the dessert display. With Britt being the master of dessert, why wouldn’t it be one of the most epic parts of the wedding? Two wooden ladders to created a two tier display for her THREE wedding cakes, donuts, macaroons and mini pies. I mean, this was the most beautiful display I had ever seen and everyone loved it! Talk about some amazing burgundy and blush plaid wedding details!
The big day went off without a hitch! The weather was gorgeous and all of Britt and Grady’s hard work and planning paid off! Everything came together perfectly and was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Britt and Grady did a first look before the ceremony. Their dog, Rocket, was the ring bearer and he did such a wonderful job! He is one of the cutest pups around in my opinion.
After their gorgeous ceremony with it perfect glow from the setting sun, guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers with the newlyweds! A delicious family-style dinner was served and afterwards the party continued. Fire pits and bonfire were lit, Kristin played some tunes and everyone had a great time dancing and hanging out. Guests even got to enjoy late night tacos!
I could go on and on about their burgundy and blush plaid wedding. I mean it was simply amazing! Check out the gorgeous pictures taken by KT Crabb Photography so you can see for yourself just how wonderful the day was. 🙂

Katie’s favorite wedding details / moments: Britt wore her mother’s wedding gown! It was precious and was perfect for her! Rocket the ring bearer was the best pup around. I loved Britt’s vision – the farm tables, French Country chairs, the floral, dessert display. I mean I loved EVERYTHING about this wedding! It was perfect in every way!

From the bride…“I can not say enough great things about Katie with Big Day Celebrations ! The first thing I did for my wedding was hire a coordinator because I knew it was the most important hire of the whole event. She held my hand through all of my crazy ideas and diy projects and on the big day she put it all together for me so perfectly ! I would trust her with anything, A couple of minor things went wrong on the big day and no one noticed a thing because of how in control and on top of things Katie was. I would recommend her for any big event you have !!!”
