Cathrine and Kyle hosted their white and green brunch wedding at the beautiful Mission Inn Resort. They chose the morning of New Year’s Eve to say “I do” and things could not have gone more perfect! These two were the sweetest, most down to earth people on the planet and were so happy to be getting married! The decor was kept simple because if you know anything about Mission Inn’s lovely Legends Wedding Deck and Ballroom, you don’t have to do much to it!
The ceremony was held outside beneath a beautiful tree, overlooking the golf course. The weather was perfect for an outdoor white and green brunch wedding! The bridesmaids were dressed in these gorgeous dark green gowns and held beautiful bouquets of greenery and white floral created by The Flower Studio. It was the perfect color combo for a December wedding. The guys looked sharp in their suites from Men’s Wearhouse too! Cathrine’s sister/Maid of Honor played the violin for her sister as she walked down the aisle and it was such a beautiful moment! After they became Mr. and Mrs., guests enjoyed coffee and fruit on the terrace while the wedding party and family took pictures.
The ballroom was decorated perfectly. I loved how Cathrine chose to tie in the existing colors of the ballroom with her white and green brunch wedding color scheme. It really looked beautiful and yet it was so simple! After a delicious brunch buffet, everyone danced the afternoon away and the newlyweds left the reception in a fun bubble exit! Cathrine and Kyle are so in love and you can tell from the gorgeous pictures captured by Jessica Leigh Photography. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Meserve! We are so happy for you!
Wedding planning package: Sweet and Simple
Katie’s favorite wedding details / moments: I loved Cathrine and Kyle’s first look! I also loved how simple, yet elegant their floral selections were. The Flower Studio did an amazing job pulling their vision together!

From the groom…“I can’t recommend Big Day Celebrations enough. They are both joyous and helped make our wedding a wonderful event! Leading up to the wedding, Katie with Big Day Celebrations was helpful and checked in (mostly with the bride) to make sure they were doing all they could to help. They helped ensure small details weren’t missed and were enthusiastic about our decisions for the wedding.
At the wedding rehearsal, I could tell that Big Day Celebrations was the best pick for a wedding coordinator we could have made. Katie organized the bridal party, walked us through the event, and before we knew it we were completely prepared for the next day’s events! After some encouraging words to both of us, the rehearsal was over, leaving us time to admire the venue. When unforeseen issues did arise concerning my Best Man’s outfit the morning of the wedding, Big Day Celebrations came to my aid. They were already at the venue 2 hours before the wedding to help us prepare for our first look and responded with no concern at all. They both calmly did everything they could to help and within 30 minutes they had resolved both challenges I had arrived with. The wedding went beautifully and exactly as rehearsed the day before.
Once the ceremony was over, Katie followed the new Bride and stepped in to help her traverse the venue in the wedding dress by lifting the dress’ train before it had been bustled. In addition, she helped round up the necessary family members for pictures. They did all of this while keeping us on schedule without adding pressure or stress to the day.
During the reception, they both were always around should either of us need them. They even worked with the officiant to complete the marriage license and pulled the Best Man and Maid of Honor aside to sign as witnesses. Big Day Celebrations then mailed the marriage license for us (as this was a destination wedding) and before we knew it we had already received our copies of the license for legal use.As stressful as planning a wedding can be, Big Day Celebrations makes the experience as pain-free as possible once the day arrives. Leading up to the wedding they always seemed to know what we needed, whether it was to provide encouragement, help us relax, or simply to just step back and give us a moment to prepare. You will find it impossible to be anything but pleased with any event that Big Day Celebrations has helped plan.”
