Lauren and Lathan’s wedding at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market was absolutely wonderful and so much fun! The day kicked off at The Alfond Inn where everyone got ready. If you haven’t been to The Alfond before, definitely check it out. For couples getting married in the Winter Park area, it is such a great place to get ready at! The rooms are beautiful and the grounds are the perfect spot for a first look!
When I arrived to check in on the girls, they had 90’s music playing and everyone was having a great time! I mean really, I could have hung out there all day because you put me in a room with 90’s music and my day is made. Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, they headed outside to do some pre-ceremony formals. Lauren and Lathan also opted to do a first look which I am a huge fan of! They were even able to get some photos with their adorable daughter London before the ceremony. They are such a cute little family if I do say so myself!
The ceremony was held outside in the parking lot of the Winter Park Farmers’ Market, beneath the trees. It was very romantic as it happened as the sun was setting. One of my favorite things about the ceremony was that Lathan’s brother married them. I just thought it was so special! They also did a tree ceremony as their “unity ceremony.” I’m also a huge fan of that! Have you heard of it before? If not, basically you get a plant (tree, bush, etc.) and take soil from each of your hometowns and put it in the pot and then water it. As the plant grows, you can transplant it to your backyard and watch it grow as the years pass by. It’s a wonderful reminder of the day that started it all – wedding day!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour out on the patio while family photos were taken. They had a very non-traditional wedding reception and I absolutely loved it! Instead of a formal, sit down dinner, they opted for a cocktail style reception with food stations! They did a mix of round tables with chairs and cocktail tables. Guests were able to graze around to the different stations at their own pace, dance in between and mingle. It was such a fun party for sure! I loved watching everyone dance and have a great time! The night ended with a sparkler exit and Lauren and Lathan lived happily ever after!
t was such an honor to a be a part of their big day and I wish we could do it all over again! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Beacham!
“We LOVED Katie. There aren’t enough wonderful things I can say about her! She kept me organized and focused up until wedding day, and was an absolute life saver the day of! We had some last minute unexpected occurrences and Katie took FULL control, calmed our nerves and handled everything with grace and confidence! She’s amazing and we would hire her AGAIN and again!! ❤️”
