When planning a wedding, we’ve found that couples put a lot of thought into their wedding color palette and overall wedding style, but they don’t quite know how to curate the simple wedding decor pieces that help make their wedding vision come to life. It’s the little details that make a wedding feel rustic, modern, boho or classic, like the wooden cake stand that looks like it’s been crafted from one of the surrounding forest trees. Or the light blue table runner whose hue mirrors the sky. Or even the gold mercury votives that give a pop of metallic and sparkle to the reception tables. It’s these simple wedding decor details that truly make a wedding design look cohesive, which in turn, helps give guests an aesthetically pleasing and seamless experience.
Here at Big Day Celebrations and at our sister company, An Epic Elopement, we understand the significance of these simple wedding decor items that can be functional as well as visually impactful.
Yes, you read that right! We have a small warehouse full of wedding decor pieces that are completely FREE for our booked clients to utilize at their wedding. Our items vary in style and color, so that no matter what our couples are looking for, we can provide it for them, from boho to rustic. These pieces range from signage to cake stands to candles to table runners, so our clients don’t have to go searching for all these little items from multiple stores. Not to mention that offering this perk saves our couples a ton of money! We made it our goal to be a one-stop-shop, so that we can take as much stress off of our wonderful couples as possible.
Curious about everything we have to offer? In this post, we provide a complete list of our included wedding decor items just for you. This is a great resource not only for our booked couples who are currently selecting their wedding decor, but also for couples who maybe haven’t found their wedding vibe just yet. Either way, get ready because this post is chock full of inspiration!
We’re starting with our stock of signs and easels because these are the most popular items we see couples use. They serve a direct purpose by informing guests as well as contributing to the overarching wedding theme. We offer all the major wedding signs you will need and with these pieces being either classic white or wooden, it’s easy to find other signs to go with them, should you want anything additional! *Click each photo below to see a larger view.*
We have a huge assortment of table runners that will go with practically any color scheme! These gauze and chiffon linens are light as air to give whichever table they are draped on that dreamy and ethereal feel that many of our couples desire. We curated our inventory of these runners to include timeless wedding hues, like blush pink and ivory, as well as seasonal shades, like mustard yellow and eggplant. We love to have fun with color, and we often utilize these runners to give a sweetheart or cake table that extra pop!
No matter what your wedding style is or what season your wedding will be in, you can always use candles! In our opinion, the more candles, the better! An excellent way to save money is to substitute large floral arrangements for candles of varying heights. Then, simply add in floral accents to complete your romantic and elegant look. Our favorite part about using candles in a wedding design is that you can set them down the aisle in lanterns, on the welcome and/or cake table with some bud vases, on your sweetheart table, and on all the guest tables without it being overkill. It’s the simplest decor pieces that make the biggest impact!
The cake table is the perfect opportunity to play with different design elements, such as the cake topper, cake stand, table signage, table linen, candles, floral and greenery, and even the table itself! If you have a simpler cake design, we can incorporate more decor items and use different colors on the table. However, if you have a cake design that makes more of a statement, we strive to make that the focal point and keep the rest of the table simple. This will be the setting for your cake cutting photos and potentially the toasts as well, so we make sure it’s Insta-worthy!
Last but not least are the miscellaneous items! We can get super creative with any of these pieces. For example, the wooden lanterns may be used to line the ceremony aisle and then we can repurpose them to be the guest table centerpieces at the reception. The baskets may be used for the flower girl’s petals and then as containers for the guest favors later on. We’re big fans of repurposing decor items from ceremony to reception because you get the most out of each and every piece. It also helps to keep the overall wedding design consistent.
The above wedding decor items that we’ve listed are all in our current inventory, free for all Big Day Celebrations and An Epic Elopement clients to use in their weddings. But our stock is always growing, as we are constantly on the hunt for simple and beautiful decor pieces that we know our couples will love. We enjoy hand-picking items to add to our inventory, especially because with every piece we add, we know that’s one more perk we can give to our sweet brides and grooms.
