Can I just say, Eliana and Anthony were the sweetest people to work with?! Their photographer, Ricky Serrano, recommended that they reach out to me about coordinating their wedding and I’m so glad he did that! Since the St. James Cathedral in downtown Orlando included a ceremony coordinator, they asked if I would be able to be the point person for their cocktail hour and reception which took place at the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive (the old Peabody). I gladly accepted and we went from there!
Eliana and Anthony wanted a simple, elegant affair with their friends and family. They wanted to get married in a Catholic Church and boy was the St. James Cathedral so perfect for that! If you haven’t seen the inside of that church before, go take a look. It’s stunning! You wouldn’t think it would be nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of downtown Orlando. Since I wasn’t there for the ceremony, it was so fun to look at their pictures. They made me feel like I was a part of it! So beautiful…
The ceremony took place at noon and cocktail hour didn’t begin until the evening, so guests had time to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities. While guests sat back and relaxed, our lovely (and gigantic) wedding party took advantage of that time to capture some pictures in the lobby. They turned out wonderful! After that, we were able to do a portrait session with the new Mr. and Mrs. and that was so fun. We were able to take our time and not have to rush which was amazing! Because it was raining outside, we had to stay inside, but that didn’t stop Ricky from getting some killer shots. The lobby and restaurants of The Hyatt Regency are so beautiful and made for great picture spots.
Their reception was so simple, yet classy. Lolimar did a wonderful job making such beautiful centerpieces of hydrangea and roses. Hanging crystals hung from the taller pieces and floating candles lit up the shorter cylinders. Each guest got to take home a stemless wine glass as their favor and those added a nice little touch to each place setting. Roque Productions did a wonderful job lighting up the room with color, which made the draping come to life. The Hyatt Regency Orlando made their wedding cake and it was topped with the cutest Mickey and Minnie cake topper (#ILoveDisney).
The newlyweds danced the night away surrounded by their friends and family. Everyone had so much fun! It was such a perfect day for Eliana and Anthony and I was so happy I was able to be a part of it! Wedding planning package – Custom Sweet and Simple.

From the bride…“Katie is the most amazing wedding coordinator/day of planner a girl could ask for. She has a bubbly personality that makes you instantly fall in love with her! Katie made sure to get in touch with all of our vendors weeks before the wedding and put together an AMAZING timeline. She worked so well with all of our other vendors- everyone loved Katie! Thank you, Katie!”
