Andrea and Eric were an absolute pleasure to work with during the planning process! Andrea reached out to me because she was in need of assistance to plan and coordinate her intimate destination wedding in Orlando. They would be traveling down to Florida from Arkansas with 25 of their closest friends and family to say “I do” at The Palace at Reunion Resort. Palace you say? Yep. Palace. I mean, this “house” was absolutely stunning! Thirteen bedrooms and 14.5 bathrooms, a movie theater, pool, game room, gym and indoor basketball court. I had never seen anything like it; it was spectacular.
They wanted to keep everything simple, yet elegant. Andrea chose pink and grey for her colors, a color combination that I love. She made all of her own centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres. She also frosted the wedding cake! I was quite impressed with all she did, especially from planning from afar. Because it was one of those hot summer days, they decided to bring the ceremony inside. When I arrived, they had already transformed the living room into a beautiful ceremony site. They removed the couches, set up white garden chairs and covered the TV with pink and grey draping. The living room had these beautiful chandeliers which lined the aisle overhead and glistened in the natural light that came through the windows.
Before the ceremony, Andrea and Eric did a first look on the beautiful staircase of The Palace. It was the perfect location for this! They also took that time to get some pictures done with their kids. Rev. Glynn with Sensational Ceremonies officiated the ceremony and he did a great job as always. It was a beautiful ceremony, joining two families together. Andrea, Eric and their kids performed a unity sand ceremony and vows were read to the kids. It was so sweet and full of love!
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the foyer. Cocktails Catering provided some delicious hors d’oeuvres and signature drinks were served. During this time, the newlyweds took advantage of the beautiful grounds to get some more formal portraits done.
The reception took place in the indoor basketball court. It was the perfect size and setting for the wedding reception! Lights were strung behind the head table, giving the appearance of strands of pearls on a necklace. Guests sat a family style tables accented with blush sequin table runners, mismatched vases with pink and white floral, candles and silver chargers. The newlyweds enjoyed their first dance together, toasts by their kids, a delicious dinner buffet and yummy cake! After dancing, the guests danced, mingled and splashed in the pool. It was such a fun day and it will be one of my favorite weddings, not only because of the beautiful and unique location, but the sweet and kind hearts of Andrea, Eric and all of their guests!

From the bride…“I found Big Day Celebrations online, as I am from out of town. Katie was wonderful from the first moment! We met her in person on a quick trip 2 months before our wedding to plan the details. During the course of planning she was always available via email to answer questions and help book things. As the big day approached I found out my flowers may be late and Katie helped me work on sourcing a back up plan, luckily we didn’t need it.On the day of the wedding, after she arrived I didn’t worry about a thing. She took care of all of the details! Even left us a sweet gift and note at the end of the night! I would recommend getting a wedding coordinator NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BUDGET and if you are in the Orlando area i recommend Katie at BIG DAY CELEBRATIONS!!!”
