So much of our couples’ wedding inspiration is rooted in nature, from mountaintops to meadows to forests. For Jaden and Max’s wedding, this inspiration led us to the beautiful Swan Lake at Six Mile Estate. Nestled amongst the wilderness with a rich historic background, this venue was the perfect setting to host “Camp LWP,” a combination of the newlyweds’ last names. With towering trees, a charming cottage, and the sparkling lake, Jaden and Max had a lakeside wedding filled with tradition and family.
From the very beginning of their love story, family and friends played a huge role in their lives. One of their mutual friends, Sara, introduced them in college, and she ended up officiating their big day! This is the perfect example of the meaningful details that Jaden and Max incorporated into their lakeside wedding. Through their wedding design, they put the emphasis on family, cultural traditions, and stories that meant the most to them.
Their lakeside wedding weekend was memorable for the quality time spent together, the beauty in the details, and the unique touches that made the celebration their own. From their wedding story, check out how Jaden and Max made the most of the rain to still have the magical lakeside wedding of their dreams!

Isn’t it crazy how one simple interaction can change the course of your life? That’s what happened for Jaden and Max, as their friend Sara introduced them during their freshman year of college. They all went to a concert together that evening, marking the start of Jaden and Max’s friendship. Yes, we said friendship, because they didn’t actually start dating until two and a half years later!
The moment when they got together was truly cinematic, as right before their first kiss, Jaden expressed that she was afraid to ruin their friendship, but Max reassured her, “Were we ever really just friends?”
Talk about goosebumps!
After that, the rest was history! They were inseparable ever since and as Jaden puts it, “it was love at first hand hold!”
Family means the world to both Jaden and Max, so it was only natural that they were involved in the proposal! Jaden had always said that she wanted them to be part of it, so Max secretly coordinated with them to pull off the perfect surprise proposal.
The cover for the evening was that Max was taking Jaden on a nice date night out to try a new restaurant together. However, when they got there, Jaden was greeted by hers and Max’s relatives forming a path for them. They each gave her a rose as she walked by, so that by the end of the line, she had a beautiful bouquet. There, Max waited for her to give her the 12th and final rose before popping the big question. It was the ultimate Bachelor moment!
After she inevitably said “yes,” they celebrated the night with good food, music, laughter, and togetherness.
To soak up as much time with their loved ones as possible, Jaden and Max planned for an entire lakeside wedding weekend! They kicked off the festivities with a Midsummer BBQ at Six Mile Estate. Perfect for their “Camp LWP” theme, it was a gorgeous upscale picnic-style celebration, complete with checkered linens, a canoe beverage display, lawn games, and a fire pit with s’mores by the lake!
This BBQ picnic served as their rehearsal dinner, as they dined, toasted, and enjoyed the crackling fire with 100 of their best people. It was a wonderful, laidback way to welcome everyone to Montana and visit with one another before the real party started!
Day 2 was the lakeside wedding weekend! Jaden and Max’s wedding colors consisted of blush, coral, peach, and fuchsia. This symphony of pink hues added a beautifully romantic touch to the natural surroundings of the venue. We used Swan Lake and the stately trees as the background for their ceremony with white garden chairs and blush petals lining the aisle.
As part of Jewish tradition, they had a beautiful chuppah with pink posies for their nuptials. Four of their wedding attendants carried it down the aisle and set it in place at the altar right before Max and Jaden made their entrances. This symbol of family and union couldn’t have been more meaningful for the ceremony!

That day, some raindrops did fall from the sky, but we all made the most of it! Our team always brings umbrellas and towels for these instances, and Jaden and Max’s family brought additional umbrellas and ponchos for the guests. You don’t come to Montana without an adventure and everyone took the mild rain in stride! It was even so sweet to see Jaden’s loved ones carry umbrellas over her as they held her train and made their way to the ceremony site.
Despite the ever-so-slightly inclement weather, Sara delivered a heartwarming, lakeside wedding ceremony that was overwhelmingly authentic to this couple. You could feel the years of friendship and camaraderie come to life between them, as they solidified their marriage with promises and rings.
After sealing the deal with a kiss, Max broke the traditional glass and then they both jumped the broom! Incorporating each of these traditions into their lakeside wedding meant so much to them as a couple and to their families; a true representation of their culture and heritage!

The newlyweds’ lakeside wedding tent reception gave them the best of both worlds with coverage from the rain and open-air siding for the refreshing lake breeze! There, Jaden and Max’s creativity shone through, as they named each table after a significant year in their lives. For example, the head table was named “Table 1996” for the year they were born and another was named “Table 2017” for the year they began dating.
Special photos and little “LWP” camp flags lined the centers of each table along with bud vases filled with pink and orange blooms. Delicate blush linens and customized place cards decorated each table setting with candlelight illuminating the space as the sun went down.

Once this lakeside wedding reception began, Jaden and Max shared their first dance followed by a delicious meal of Montana surf and turf! Guests enjoyed bison tenderloin and steelhead trout accompanied by arugula pear salad, watermelon caprese and raspberry prosecco sorbet for dessert. If that wasn’t enough deliciousness, everyone also indulged in a vanilla cream wedding cake with huckleberry mousse filling along with various flavors of cupcakes! These two definitely knew how to treat their people!
The dance floor opened that evening with a sentimental parents’ dance. This started with Max dancing with his mom and Jaden dancing with her dad. Then, they all joined together in one big group dance to honor both parents and the two families coming together as one. Afterwards, the DJ invited everyone to join them on the dance floor and the party began! It went strong all evening long and included the traditional Hora and the not-so-traditional boat ride!
The party was so good that it kept going at the after-party! Set in an adjacent tent at the venue, they danced the night away, overflowing with joy at the wedding of Jaden and Max!

The day after their lakeside wedding, the newlyweds held a Lakeside Farewell at Volunteer Park. This casual, daytime celebration was the perfect way to bookend the weekend and gave everyone a chance to say goodbye.
Jaden and Max’s 3-day wedding weekend was ultimately a reminder that family should be at the heart of every wedding. After all, you’re celebrating the start of your own new family plus the family members who helped you get here. We loved that this couple prioritized family and tradition for their big day, and everyone truly had a blast from day 1 to day 3!
Congrats Jaden & Max! This lakeside wedding will be hard to beat! Thanks for being troopers about the rain and remembering that your marriage and family are what truly matter. The day turned out gorgeous and I loved seeing you both have the time of your lives! Cheers to many more joyous days together!
