It was so much fun working with Paula and Scott to coordinate their peach and mint wedding! They came from Oklahoma to host their big day at the beautiful Marina del Rey at Mission Inn Resort. Everything turned out beautiful! I absolutely loved their colors – peach, mint, coral and teal. They wanted an old Florida vibe and it really came together and was perfect for a lakeside marina wedding!
The back lawn of the marina was the perfect spot for their ceremony. Scott’s brother officiated the ceremony and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Anthony was a hoot and a half and his personality showed throughout the ceremony. It was just gorgeous! My favorite part was the “warming of the rings”. The rings are passed from guest to guest. The guest then quietly shares a thought, prayer or blessing as they hold the rings. Depending on your guest count, this can take quite a bit of time. So, Paula and Scott actually had their guests bless the rings as they arrived and it was perfect. During the ceremony, only the wedding party and immediate family actually passed and blessed the rings. This was a great way to do this!
The wedding reception turned out beautiful and I just loved the pops of peach and mint throughout. It really brightened up the pavilion! My most favorite thing was their cake. Britt with Le Petit Sweet knocked it out of the park! It was so colorful and it had macarons on it. A cardboard cutout of Cinderella’s Castle was propped behind it too! I love Cinderella and just loved that detail!
A sweet vintage car drove the newlyweds away and they lived happily ever after! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. DeFilippo! We are so happy for you!
“If you’re looking for a wedding planner or day of coordinator, stop looking now because you’ve found her! Katie was super helpful from the day I inquired about day of coordination services. I was planning my wedding from another state and all her recommendations and help were needed and appreciated since I couldn’t meet with vendors in person. Every correspondence between her and I felt genuine and she never hesitated to answer any question no matter how big or small. Her client portal is something I checked frequently, as it was such a wealth of information!
From the timeline/checklist, gratuity cheat sheet, and answering questions about ourselves as a couple, you can tell she cares about her couples and wants your day to be a success. On the big day, she set everything up perfectly and made sure things went according to schedule and as planned. Whenever we seemed to be wondering “what’s next” or had a question or need she appeared almost out of nowhere like she could read our faces! She instantly felt like an old friend rather than a day of coordinator and I can’t imagine anyone else helping us on our big day. If anything went wrong on wedding day, I had absolutely no idea, and I can’t thank her enough for all the help, guidance, and compassion she showed us!”
