As wedding planners, we know that the color pink can sometimes get a bad rep. While we adore shades like blush, magenta, and fuchsia, we also recognize that pink can often be seen as overly feminine or even a bit youthful. That’s why wedding design takes a keen eye! There are so many beautiful ways to have a pink wedding without it feeling too childlike. For example, we love either blending pink with other bold colors for a whimsical, wildflower aesthetic or tempering it with elegant neutrals and metallics.
Courtney and Dillon’s pink wedding was a great example of this! Their wedding weekend celebration incorporated grown-up shades of pink that created a chic and stylish atmosphere. Their wedding aesthetic truly set the stage for romance and fun, as they tied the knot at Snowline Acres and danced the night away with nearly 200 of their favorite people.
Between the sophisticated color palette and touches of whimsy, this pink wedding will inspire you in more ways than one!
Courtney and Dillon’s journey to their pink wedding can be characterized by the phrase, “When you know, you know!” They met through mutual friends in Minneapolis, where they literally courted on the pickleball court and where Courtney learned of Dillon’s love for fantasy football. After a few dates, they quickly realized they had something special! They had a ton of fun together, but could also work together well and soon enough, they were practically living together. At that point, they had a decision to make because Dillon had a new job in Montana lined up. Courtney felt a pull to move with him, but with such a big life change looming, she knew she had to check out the mountains before taking the leap. She told us that she was “sold on moving here after driving over Ravalli Hill with the majestic view of the Mission mountains.”
Leave it to the beauty of Montana to seal the deal on both a big move and a lifelong love story!
According to Courtney, “Lucifer Lake appropriately gets its name for the brutal hike it takes to get up there. Think: bushwhack, steep terrain, rock climbing, and even the All Trails app can lead you astray.” So when Dillon suggested they take the plunge and make the hike one day, Courtney was reluctant to say yes. However, she saw the excitement and challenge in Dillon’s eyes and couldn’t resist making him happy, so off they went!
They began at sunrise and after a pretty intense few hours, they finally hiked the last few steps and laid eyes on the famous lake. Courtney described the view as “one of the most breathtaking sceneries I’ve ever encountered. The water was so clear you could see trout swimming around and jumping out of the water catching flies.”
The beauty and majesty of Montana didn’t just bring Courtney here. It also set the stage for one of the most important moments in their story! That’s when Dillon pulled out the ring and dropped to one knee. Unlike her hesitation in doing the hike that day, she instantly said a resounding YES to the big question and the rest is history!
Montana played such a significant role in this couple’s love story that it was only fitting for them to do their engagement photos and get married here! All of this led them to their gorgeous pink wedding. Let’s talk wedding details!
Upon meeting Courtney and Dillon, we just loved their story and seeing the love they had for each other! They are truly bright spirits, and we were incredibly honored to bring their pink wedding to life! We used multiple shades of pink, including mulberry, peach, dusty rose and coral. To accent these hues, we infused ivory, gold, and natural greenery.
This was reflected in Courtney’s breathtaking bridal bouquet, Dillon’s pocket boutonniere, the floral sprays on their wooden ceremony arch, the cascading cake floral, reception tablescapes, and more. One of the keys to wedding design is smoothly infusing the color palette throughout the event, from start to finish, and that’s exactly what we did!
On the day of this elegant pink wedding, we brought all of our plans to life, from the double ceremony arch to the classic greenery and candle reception centerpieces. When you work with us, you get access not only to all of our knowledge and experience as Montana wedding planners, but also our wedding décor inventory! We have signage, candles, table numbers, cake stands, card boxes, easels, and more in-house, so you don’t have to worry about sourcing these types of items. One less thing to stress about! Oh and did we mention it’s all complementary?

As wedding planners and coordinators, it’s our job to hustle behind-the-scenes while you enjoy the spotlight! This begins with setup on the day-of and goes all the way through to the end of the night’s clean up!
Here are a few examples of duties we handled at Courtney and Dillon’s pink wedding that you might not see, but make a big impact:
After these two exchanged vows, they captured family and newlywed portraits around the venue with their photographer. During this time, our team repurposed the ceremony arch to be behind their sweetheart table. We also repurposed Courtney’s and the bridesmaids’ bouquets to use as additional décor throughout the reception space. Alongside the venue and catering teams, we also made sure all the candles were lit, water glasses were filled, and everything was picture-perfect for the reception kickoff!
Throughout this pink wedding, we stayed in close communication with each and every vendor to ensure timeliness and accuracy. This includes making sure everyone arrives on time and sets up their items according to the vision, ensuring the bartender and catering team is ready for cocktail hour, and cuing the DJ to start the ceremony music. These are just a few of the ways we work with the entire vendor team to make your day flow perfectly!
From greeting guests at the start of the wedding to inviting them to cocktail hour to welcoming them into the reception, our team helps manage guest flow smoothly and seamlessly. If you have a buffet dinner like Courtney and Dillon did, we’re often the ones to release guest tables to the buffet line. This ensures that the line never gets too long! At the end of the night, we also line your guests up for your grand exit, whether that means passing out and lighting sparklers or handing out glow sticks.
You and your partner are always our top priority! We always start a wedding day with checking in with you both and making sure you’re starting the day off on the right foot. Throughout the festivities, we anticipate and take care your needs, from bringing you apps and drinks during photos to bustling your dress before the reception. You are the stars of the day and we treat you like ones!
We gladly take on these responsibilities so that you don’t have to worry about a thing and can simply enjoy every moment! Seeing you marry the love of your life, have your first dance, and party the night away with your loved ones truly makes us so happy, and makes it all worthwhile!
When asked “If you could do it all over again, what is one thing you would change, if anything?” Courtney put it simply:
“Absolutely nothing :)”
Congrats you guys! Joe and I had such a blast working with you two, and we couldn’t be happier for you! It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we wish you a lifetime of joy and adventure together!
