Jamie and James’ Fish Creek Amphitheater wedding in Glacier National Park was seriously SO MUCH FUN. These two were a hoot! There was so much love felt throughout the entire ceremony and their vows would make anyone tear up. They danced down the aisle along with their wedding party too! Can we also talk about their motorcycle exit? How cool!!
If you have a larger group and want to get married within Glacier National Park, then Fish Creek Amphitheater is perfect! It can hold 150 people at any time of the year. The unique orange and brown stage really makes you feel like you’re in a national park and the surrounding trees give you a nice, quiet setting. The flow of Fish Creek can be heard nearby as well!
One of the best parts of this location is that it’s located in West Glacier which means getting your guests to and from the amphitheater is super easy. As with all larger wedding locations within Glacier, parking is limited. During peak season, you are limited to 15 vehicles and during the shoulder season, you are limited to 20 vehicles. We always recommend hiring a transportation company to bus guests in and out. Jamie and James chose Harlow’s Bus Services for their transportation needs.
Harlow’s Bus Service is very unique in that they use school busses as their main mode of shuttling! Jamie and James were both teachers, so this was a great way to tie everything together.
When you hire a transportation service for your guests, make sure you either pre-pay the park entrance fee with your provider or send a guest with an envelope of cash to cover the fee. The entrance fee is higher than your standard vehicle and it’s always best to check with the park to confirm the current rates before the big day.
There are restrooms on site too, which is always great!
As a reminder, no large amplification is allowed and noise levels must not exceed 60 decibels. Jamie and James decided to have a small Bluetooth speaker to play their processional and recessional song and it worked out perfectly. It was quiet, but just loud enough for everyone to hear without disturbing nature.
They also brought in their card box, guest book and a few reserved signs. As long as you pack out what you packed in, including any decor and trash, you are all set. Nailing, stapling and taping things to the stage is not allowed.
