We’ll also walk you through all the unique and personalized details that this couple infused into their wedding. No matter how subtle or apparent, elements that showcase your personalities are a must at your wedding!
So if you’re in need of ranch wedding, fall wedding, or personalized wedding ideas, make sure to save this post for the ultimate how-to guide!
Bobbs and Becks tied the knot at Green Valley Ranch, a breathtaking property near the west entrance to Glacier National Park. It has 480 acres of land with gorgeous mountain views and surrounding forest trees, ideal for a Montana ranch wedding ceremony and reception! They also have the perfect accommodations where you and your wedding party can get ready prior to the wedding. Bobbs and Becks did just that on the morning of their big day, as Becks and her girls got dolled up in the Main Lodge and Bobbs and his guys played pool and hung out in the Game Room.
Before their first look, Bobbs put on his tan suit with burgundy tie and orange and gold boutonniere. Becks slipped into her white sheath wedding dress with spaghetti straps and lace on the bodice. Her bridal bouquet was downright gorgeous with its orange and golden florals, red berries, greenery, and crimson stems. It was fluffy and voluminous, making it the perfect fall wedding bouquet!
Bobbs and Becks chose to do a first look before their ranch wedding ceremony. They had the most incredible backdrop for this! They were surrounded by the mountains, trees, and even a little wooden barn that added to the cozy fall ambiance. The atmosphere was quiet and serene, cut only by the pure joy and laughter that Bobbs and Becks experienced when they did their first look.
They followed this with some family photos with their two dogs, Beamer and Cobalt, as well as pictures with their wedding party. Last but not least, while our team put the finishing touches on their ranch wedding ceremony and reception, Becks held a first look with her father at the Lodge. Moments like these between a father and daughter are so sweet and heartfelt, so during the planning process, we always make sure to ask you if you’d like to hold one!
On the day of, our team set out all of Bobbs and Becks’ personal décor and made sure the rest of their vendors were set. Then, we welcomed the guests with some pre-ceremony champagne. Having a welcome drink like this instantly sets the tone for the day, creating a celebratory and inviting vibe. This ranch wedding ceremony would be held in the venue’s Meadow. This is where Conrad Floral installed 2 standing floral arch pieces in wondrous shades of muted reds, oranges, and yellows. These colors reflected the surrounding landscape so perfectly that you would have thought they plucked the flowers straight from the ground!
Although this day brought us some rain drops, we made the most of it by providing umbrellas for the bride, groom, and guests. Thankfully, the rain was light enough where we could still hold the ranch wedding ceremony outdoors as planned. The weather even made the backdrop prettier, which we didn’t think was possible! The rain clouds caused some fog to roll in, adding a mystical quality to the mountain range. It honestly couldn’t have been more perfect to achieve the best cozy fall vibe!
When the processional began, our lead planner, Katie, escorted Becks to the top of the aisle, holding her wedding dress train for her. Becks held a clear dome umbrella during this walk, but when she arrived at the aisle entrance, she tossed the umbrella away as if to say, “Nothing, not even rain, can stop me on my wedding day!” She, Bobbs, and their loved ones had the best attitudes about the rain sprinkles!
We also want to mention that the wedding vendor team that we curated for Bobbs and Becks were champs when it came to the rain too! Everyone, from their photographers to the musicians, were true professionals and had no problem working around the rain. Now this is why it’s so important to find experienced, top-notch wedding vendors and why rockstar vendors like these have made our preferred list!
After Bobbs and Becks made it official by saying “I do,” everyone headed into the Pole Barn for cocktail hour. Forage Catering served delicious passed appetizers, like braised pork belly, cucumber and trout cups, and whipped herbed goat cheese crostinis. Guests enjoyed these while sipping on the newlyweds’ signature drinks. These included a guava aperol spritz and a whiskey mule with rosemary.
During this time, Bobbs and Becks took photos with their family. Then, Becks took some special champagne and an ice skate blade, and sabered off the cork to kick off the party!
Calling all of our fall wedding couples: Take notes! This ranch wedding reception was a fall lover’s dream! It was held inside a clear wedding tent, which allowed everyone to still see the incredible views and in Bobbs and Becks’ case, see the cozy rain clouds and drops overhead. So beautiful!
We decked out their ranch wedding reception space with wooden guest tables and matching crossback chairs. Coral table runners ran the length of the farm tables and ivory linens dressed the round ones. We set floral centerpieces with red, green, coral, and ivory blooms and scattered amber votives on each table. Buttercup yellow linen napkins were draped in a waterfall fold at each place setting.
Our favorite part of this ranch wedding reception though was the sweetheart table! Bobbs and Becks’ table had a vivid, floral patterned overlay in shades that matched their wedding color palette in the most gorgeous way. The amber candles and marigold napkins really popped off this specialty linen, immediately drawing the eye towards it.
After the ceremony, our team repurposed Becks’ bouquet to go on the sweetheart table and the florist re-used the arch pieces to frame the bar. Following the newlyweds’ grand entrance and welcome speech, everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner of curry, short rib, and trout. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Bobbs and Becks had a “cheese cake.” This consisted of 3 wheels of cheese layered on top of one another to look like a cake! We loved how creative this was! Later in the evening, the caterer would dismantle the cheese to use as part of the late-night charcuterie station.
Having this “cheese cake” suited the couple’s personalities and preferences more than a conventional cake would have. However, they also served their guests mini cupcakes for those who had a sweet tooth! We crowned the “cake” with a customized topper that had figurines of Bobbs, Becks, Beamer, and Cobalt. Adorable!
As the sun went down, the twinkle lights inside the tent blinked on and everyone danced underneath the golden light. The ambiance was incredibly romantic and cozy, and set a great tone for the dance party. The good times definitely rolled that night, as everyone celebrated the amazing couple that is Bobbs and Becks.
Bobbs and Becks, congratulations on your gorgeous ranch wedding! You two were so much fun to work with and I admired your lighthearted spirits and great attitudes towards the rain sprinkles on the day of. Thanks for being wonderful to work with and I wish you all the happiness in the world!
