Micro Wedding Near Glacier National Park
Micro weddings have become a very popular trend these days and we are all for it! Megan and Ryan’s micro wedding near Glacier National Park was oh-so perfect and we cannot wait to tell you more about it!
Have you ever heard of the term “micro wedding?” There are many different definitions of it out there, but in our minds, it is considered a small wedding. You still get all the bells and whistles that a “traditional” wedding has, but on a much smaller scale.

Now, a little more about Megan and Ryan’s micro wedding. It was a rainy, July day, but that didn’t stop them from having the most amazing day! One thing to know about Montana is that they weather can sometimes be stubborn. One second you have blue skies. The next second it’s raining. You have to know in advance you will have to go with the flow and know that no matter what the weather is like on your wedding day, it will still be epic! Trust me on this!
Megan and Ryan did a first look up at the adorable canvas tent at Great Northern Resort before heading into Glacier National Park for photos. It was such a sweet moment and we loved Ryan’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride!
Glacier was really showing off for Megan and Ryan that day. The dark clouds made for some ultra moody photos and they rocked it! They turned out absolutely stunning for sure! Just see for yourself! While they were in the park getting epic photos, guests were enjoying a pre-ceremony cocktail hour underneath the big, white wedding tent at Great Northern. We loved how they decided to switch things up a bit and do cocktail hour before the ceremony.
After photos in Glacier, Megan and Ryan headed back and geared up for their ceremony. We kept the ceremony design very simple. Guests sat on wooden benches and a gorgeous hexagon-style arch made out of locally sourced wood framed the alter area. We adorned the arch with two floral pieces for a pop. The ceremony was beautiful! Tony, their pup, was right by their side the entire time and looked so dapper in his outfit! And guess what? Right as they were exchanging their vows, the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was perfect!
After the ceremony, everyone headed down to the big tent. The farm tables were pushed together to create a long, family-style seating arrangement. Doilies lined the tables and created a unique table runner. Wooden boxes filled with floral and succulents lined the table in addition to assorted bud vases and candles. It was stunning! Every place setting was labeled with a gold laser cut name tag and each guest got a mini succulent to take home. It is little details like those that we just love so much! It was stunning and Megan and Ryan loved it! It made my heart happy!
The newlyweds enjoyed a first dance and toasts. They got to spend quality time with their guests in their lounge area. A delicious meal was served and many drinks were poured. It was the most perfect day!
