Oh my goodness. I absolutely loved working with Jade to plan the big day for herself and her fiancé Jeylen! She was so dang sweet and down to earth and her wedding day vision was so beautiful and simple, yet elegant. Jade and Jeylen were to exchange vows at the beautiful Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Mission Inn is one of our favorite venues, so that made it even more special!

The ceremony was held in Plaza de la Fontana. Jade decided to keep the ceremony decor simple. Jeylen and his family built a beautiful wooden cross and we accented it with lovely floral. Fresh floral pomanders lined the aisle along with fresh rose petals. The pomanders and cross floral were re-used at the reception and as you know, we are all about re-using!

As guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the newlyweds were carried away via golf cart to capture some formal portraits as well as a few more pictures with their family and wedding party. Shannon did an amazing job finding some out of the ordinary places for these photos and they turned out so beautiful!

The reception was held in La Hacienda. Gold chiavari chairs and chargers, sparkly blush sequin table runners, a beautiful blush sequin overlay and coordinating blush lamour napkins were rented in. Flowers by Lesley created stunning tall floral arrangements which paired perfectly with the pomanders that we re-used from the ceremony. Le Petit Sweet created a gorgeous dessert display that paired perfectly with their beautiful wedding cake. (banana cupcakes, s’mores cheese cakes and macarons for the WIN!) White Rose Entertainment lit the room with amber uplighting which was the perfect touch and really highlighted the gold accents throughout the room.

Guests were treated with a delicious entree, yummy desserts and lots of dancing! They were also able to enjoy some same-day wedding highlights created by Lupinek Productions and they were just beautiful! Everyone have such a wonderful time and we were so thankful that we were able to be a part of their big day! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Skarda and we hope that your new adventure together in Washington D.C. is off to a great start!
